Night Cru is the smaller version of Midnight Cruise — the same musicians, a compact setup and a volume you can hold a conversation over. Built for restaurants, tighter rooms and anywhere a full drum kit would be too much.
Night Cru
Not every room wants a full band. Restaurants, smaller function rooms and venues with a noise limit all have the same problem — they want live music, but not music that stops people talking or swallows half the floor.
Night Cru is our answer to that. It's not a different act or a stand-in duo: it's the same players from Midnight Cruise, on acoustic and electric guitars with a cajon or compact electronic kit instead of the full drum setup. Same songs, same harmonies, considerably less of it.
Where It Suits
Live music that sits under the conversation rather than over it. We can stay in the background through the meal and lift it later if the night turns that way.
Plenty of good rooms can't give up the floor space a full band needs, or have neighbours close enough to matter. This setup is why those nights are still possible — there's more on our pub and bar page.
A couple of acoustic sets in the afternoon rather than a full night. It suits a crowd that's in for a drink and a feed, not a dance.
Parties at home, in a garden, or in a room where the full band would be overwhelming. Birthdays, anniversaries and get-togethers — the private party page covers those in more detail.
Which One
Restaurants, bars, smaller rooms
Pick this when the room is tight, there's a noise limit, or the evening is built around people talking and eating rather than dancing.
Halls, function rooms, dance floors
Pick this when you've got a stage or a decent corner and the point of the night is a full dance floor.

Common Questions
Not strictly — it's a scaled-down band rather than a purist acoustic act. Acoustic and electric guitars, with a cajon or compact electronic kit in place of the full drums. The point is the size and the volume, not the label.
Yes. It's quieter and smaller, not slower — the set list is the same one we've built up over decades. If dancing is the whole point of the night, though, the full band does that job better.
Considerably less than the full band — this setup exists for rooms where a drum kit and backline won't fit. Send us a photo of the space and we'll tell you honestly whether it works.
No, and it's one of the main reasons this setup exists. Tell us the limit up front and we'll work inside it rather than finding out at 10pm.
Our YouTube channel has live footage from real gigs, which shows you far more of what we play than a list would. There are some crowd favourites on the home page as well.
Of course — it's the same group of musicians either way. If you're not sure which suits your venue, tell us about the room and we'll give you a straight answer.
Tell us about the room, the date and what kind of evening you're planning. We'll confirm availability and a price within 24 hours.
